ALI-- GATOR

Ali--Gator ran away from her home,
the world she hoped to see, an yearned to roam.

Ali went first to see a fans wheel,
so big, so round, and made of steel.

Ali heard of a very weird place,
with many people on their feet, but not for a race!

It was a mile long, a just opened, shopping mall,
full of toys, sweets for eats, for one and all.

Into the front doors she did saunter,
a number was tied on her neck, she began to wonder.

To a store filled with books on spelling and more,
next was a pet place with paw prints on the door.

Then came a body piercing place,
with weird things to stick on your face.

Dr Eye-Ball was next door,
fun eyeglasses reached from ceiling to floor.

Next to that came helium balloons,
with shapes, including moons!

Costume dress was next to party time,
all that one would need to feel just fine.

There were festival things on the wall,
some confetti inside balloons to burst when they fall.

Looking for her way out Ali heard her name,
“Come to exit one, you won a prize for playing our game!”

At exit one Ali found the gift she’d won,
an alligator handbag, an a thing called a sticky bun.

Ali thought as she left this place,
home I’ll stay, an accept it with grace.

To wander an roam--tis not my thing,
home is best, it makes my heart sing.
